Nothing (not even tea) can be a substitute for healthy living. That said, consumption of green tea with it’s composition of antioxidants and other minerals is considered very good for health. It can “help” with weight loss in the following ways:
If you’re replacing something less healthy (such as coffee, soda, etc.) in your life with green tea
- Consuming green tea can “fill you up” and as such you’re less likely to consume foods that increase your calorie/sugar intake
Adding honey and lemon does not help with this (rather the opposite for honey as you are consuming a lot of natural sugar).
