Our signature Darjeeling Oolong tea, The Everest Oolong is named after Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world. We acquired this tea straight from one of the finest tea gardens in the world, located at the foothills of the Himalayas and within sight of the mighty peak for which this tea is named. With a subtle muscatel aroma, complex notes of grape and tannin in the first taste this is one of the rarest teas in our collection.

  1. Drink 'straight' (means with no milk), you can add honey (if you want a sweeter tea) or lemon (if you want a more sour/tart tea)
  2. Strong astringent notes of tannin and flavours associated with classic Oolong teas
  3. Perfect for any time in the day and especially for digestion after any meal.
  4. Colour of brew should be: Pale Yellow to Pale Orange

TCH Grade: First Class, Grand Cru
TCH Caffeine Grade: Medium

Brewing Instructions

Steep 1 teaspoon (2 grams) of tea leaves per cup (8 oz. or 250 ml) for 4-5 minutes in hot water. If you want a 'light' or less flavourful/strong brew, keep the leaves in the hot water for 3.5 – 4 mins. If you want a 'stronger' or more flavourful brew, keep the leaves in the hot water for longer (5 mins).

For iced tea, steep 2 teaspoons (4 grams) to 300ml of water and 'cold brew' over night in the refrigerator. Add some lemon to enhance the acidic flavours in this tea.
